Kim Chiu - Jasmine of My Girl

Occupation: Actress,Singer, and Host.
Kim was born in Tacloban City, Leyte and later transferred to Cebu City when she was grade 5. She is half-Chinese on her father's side. She first appeared on a reality TV show, Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1 and known as "Chinese Cutie of Cebu" last April 2006 and won the competition. She is a devout Roman Catholic.
Career
Kim, together with on-screen partner Gerald Anderson, appeared in several shows of ABS-CBN, bagged commercial endorsements, and was formally introduced in the silver screen via their first movie, First Day High. Chiu and Anderson starred in their very first television series Sana Maulit Muli, which was also shown in Taiwan entitled Chances and was dubbed in Mandarin. They marked their first anniversary in show business by their first starring movie I've Fallen For You which premiered September 26, 2007 under Star Cinema.
They are currently regular performers on ASAP '08. Chiu is the leading lady in the prime time show My Girl, the Filipino remake of the Korean series with the same title. She also stars with Gerald Anderson.
